1. Vocational Training Centre
Maihar Cement has always been in the forefront of social services and humanitarian causes.  In order to judiciously take care of it's commitments to these activities and contribute to social development in a realistic and perceptible form a special Trust was created called 'Maihar Cement Seva Trust' which came into being on 19th December 1990 and started it's activities from July 1992. It is functioning on a non-profit basis for the benefit of poor and downtrodden class of the society.

Vocational Training Centre (VTC) was established in the year 1992. The selection is made primarily from among the section of people belonging to below poverty line category and in that special preference is also given to members of weaker sections of the community and land losers. RURAL SERVICES & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Brief of activities undertaken during the FY 2015-16 are as under:

  • Donation for Baba Allauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroh,Maihar.
  • Beautification of Kamadgiri Parikrama, Chitrakoot.
  • Complete Blood Counting Machine (CBC) donated to Civil Hospital, Satna for better facilities of diagnostic treatment.
  • Drinking water supply to scarcity hit villages during summer thru mobile water tankers viz. Bhadanpur, Umrour, Saliyakher,Mantolwa,Pipra,Piprahat & Srinagar etc.
  • Fire Brigade services provided in 18 instances to nearby villages in emergency.
  • Ambulance services provided for accidents and other emergency in neighbourhood.
  • Rendered Various support services to local Administration twice in a year during Navratri Mela at Devi Ji viz.- security services, Fire Brigade services, Van services, health services, Painting of railings, erection of gates, temporary shelters and display of instructional boards and banners etc.
  • Construction of Water Tank in Village Piprabarband, Mohraba & Umrour.
  • Construction of Chachri Road at village Kakra.
  • Fabrication and erection of Bus/Taxi stand at village Piprabarband & Godin.
  • Developed the area/land around cremation point at village Bhadanpur.
  • Provided fertile soil to Gram Panchayat Chopra for plantation work.
  • Area/Land Development near Tamus River in village Sonwari.
  • Spreading of Chachri in Kuccha Road in village Bhadanpur, Piprabarband.
  • To promote sports in villages, Cricket tournaments organised and various sports item distributed.
  • Provided water to draught hit villages through Andhiyari Nala for field irrigation.
  • Provided water to scarcity hit villages Godin & Moharaba for field irrigation.
  • Opened Saving Bank Account with UCO Bank, Sonwari Branch of 49 families of village Chopra & Sonwari who had not access to any bank so far. They were also extended Govt. Life Insurance & Accidental Insurance scheme of Rs. 2 lacs Sum insured.  
  • Deepening job of Tamus River near Village Sonwari was undertaken for increasing the water volume.
  • Hand pumps are erected through proper boring in villages Mohraba, Umrour, Piprabarband, Bhadanpur & Naroura which addressed the acute water shortage problem of these villagers especially during summer season.
  • Deepening of Pond near gram Chopra is done for increasing the water storage capacity of rain water. 
  • Expansion work of Mukti-Dham is done at village Bhadanpur.
